In all other cases, Simon James Williams Photography retain the copyright, if Simon James Williams Photography has been paid for his work, the payment will be for the photographer’s time and typically an allocated number of prints. The copyright to the photos will remain with Simon James Williams Photography, and therefore any reproduction without permission would be an infringement of copyright under English law.

Simon James Williams Photography mark work with a copyright notice on preview galleries, as this makes it clear that copyright exists, this helps to deter infringement. Removal of this notice is forbidden. If no notice appears, copyright still exists.

For traditional prints, we may use a stamp to mark the copyright notice and the copyright owners contact details on the back of the print – if this does not appear, copyright still remains with Simon James Williams Photography.

Simon James Williams Photography retains the right to use images taken on their website, but in all cases will ask for permission to do so. If we are unable to trace specific people included in the photo, Simon James Williams Photography retain the right to use the image on the website or on promotional material.
